Using Wine on the mac?

Have any of you successfully used Wine on the mac to run Windows applications?
I'm not interested in using a virtual machine, I've only 8 mB of storage. But would be interested for one or two games, to use Wine if possible Wondering if any of you have ever used Wine, and with what success.

I'd like thoughts regarding VoiceOver as well. I have seen you can install Wine onto OS X. Somewhat intrigued, to be honest.

Hi Leo. I was interested in this as it ought to be possible to get Eloquence to
work with Voiceover, but I couldn't get it to work initially and the project got
overtaken by events. I've read that responsiveness can be an issue which
might be a problem with gameplay, but I'd be interested to know how you and
others get on.
